The ”Creative Tree” Art gallery and Café
We are located in the heart of Savo, Lapinlahti just off the main road-5 towards North. Luova Puu the “Creative Tree” Gallery Café is an inspiring oasis of creativity with a warm old-fashioned atmosphere. Changing exhibitions as well as cultural and wellness events are available throughout the year. The art café is open in the summer time and in December as a Christmas shop.
We also organize occasions and experience services for groups all year round. Our own art café prepares savory and sweet delicacies with more than 16 years of experience. The more than 100-year-old Paradise log sauna has lush, relaxing steams and you can take a dip in the heated bathing tub. Come experience something unique and enjoy a relaxing day at the Luova Puu!
Luova Puu is an unique bohemian destination that was founded by the wood artist Raija Weisenberg in 2004. The town of Lapinlahti reconstructed the property and it was made into Raija’s wood art studio, gallery for changing exhibitions of the local artists, café and handicraft boutique. Luova Puu also has a very beautiful ”Paradise Sauna” which many visitors have enjoyed the authentic warm refreshing experience of a Finnish sauna.
Unfortunately in 2014 Raija Weisenberg passed away after a long fight of cancer. Her daughter Hannah Weisenberg continued Raija’s work and creation of the Luova Puu. She is an artist of ceramics and also teaches yoga. During the summer season we have many cultural events and workshops.
